2008 US Legacy Collection BD8 Darth Vader First Day Issue

Description: As has been the custom of the Jedi and Sith for many centuries, Vader uses a meditation chamber to enhance his powers. Within this specially pressurized, hyperbaric enclosure, the Sith Lord is able to remove his mask and briefly still be able to breathe.
Comments: BD8 is part of the Build-A-Droid line, where one part of a droid was included. If you bought all the figures in the line, you essentially had a free droid. This is one of the “First Day Issue” variations, which included a foil titled cardback, and a bright foil sticker on the front bubble.
2003 US Star Wars Saga 03-32 Darth Vader Death Star Clash
Description: As the Galactic Civil War raged across the Empire, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was tasked with discovering the location of the Rebel Alliance’s secret base. Vader captured Rebel operative Princess Leia Organa and had her tortured to reveal the location of the hidden fortress. Vader also sought technical plans stolen by the Rebels. These plans carried the complete schematics of the Empire’s most powerful weapon, the Death Star battle station. When a rescue team successfully liberated the princess, Vader found himself face to face with his former Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Vader defeated the aged Jedi Knight in a lightsaber duel.

2011 US San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Vintage Collection Revenge of the Jedi VC08 Darth Vader

Description: Return of the Jedi was a powerful conclusion to this epic saga of good versus evil. The whole world knows this film by its current title, which evokes the glorious return of the hero. But during filming, the movie was slated to be called Revenge of the Jedi. Merchandise was developed based on this title, including Kenner action figure packaging. Then, late in production, there was a dramatic change. Shortly before the film was released, George Lucas decided the title should be Return of the Jedi. The final title carries a more appropriate emotional tone because, of course, a Jedi would not seek revenge.
To celebrate this monumental film and unique history of its title, we have created special packages of favorite characters from the movie, feature the Revenge of the Jedi title. May the Force be with you!

Comments: A variant packaging on VC13, originally labelled as Anakin Skywalker. Later waves came out without the Boba Fett offer, and didn’t include the sticker. They’re not simply excess figures from the same batch but have different datestamps on the back. Compare to the same figure with the Boba Fett offer.
