2011 US San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Vintage Collection Revenge of the Jedi VC08 Darth Vader

Description: Return of the Jedi was a powerful conclusion to this epic saga of good versus evil. The whole world knows this film by its current title, which evokes the glorious return of the hero. But during filming, the movie was slated to be called Revenge of the Jedi. Merchandise was developed based on this title, including Kenner action figure packaging. Then, late in production, there was a dramatic change. Shortly before the film was released, George Lucas decided the title should be Return of the Jedi. The final title carries a more appropriate emotional tone because, of course, a Jedi would not seek revenge.
To celebrate this monumental film and unique history of its title, we have created special packages of favorite characters from the movie, feature the Revenge of the Jedi title. May the Force be with you!

2002 Mexican Convention Exclusive Power of the Jedi Silver Anniversary Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader: Final Duel

Description: This 25th Anniversary Final Duel set, along with the 25th Anniversary Han Solo/Chewbacca, was an exclusive for the 2002 Mexican “Tercera Convencion”, a Star Wars Convention in Mexico City. Limited to only 120 numbered pieces and autographed by David Prowse, this is one of the rarest and most valuable Darth Vader pieces ever.

Comments: Robo Chris is/was a Japanese toy store which would invite different artists and actors for autograph sessions. This is an example of such a customized, autographed figure.

Comments: Darth Vader confronts Luke Skywalker in a lightsaber duel in the Cloud City of Bespin. Vader wins the battle when he ruthlessly severs Luke’s right hand. Then Vader reveals a devastating secret: that Vader is, in fact, Luke’s own father, and that he plans to turn Luke to the dark side so they can rule the galaxy together.

Comments: The packaging folds into a display or gift box, and includes a Father’s Day card for that special dad in your life. It was a Wal-Mart exclusive in the US, and a Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive in Australia.
