Description: As has been the custom of the Jedi and Sith for many centuries, Vader uses a meditation chamber to enhance his powers. Within this specially pressurized, hyperbaric enclosure, the Sith Lord is able to remove his mask and briefly still be able to breathe.

Comments: BD8 is part of the Build-A-Droid line, where one part of a droid was included. If you bought all the figures in the line, you essentially had a free droid. This is one of the “First Day Issue” variations, which included a foil titled cardback, and a bright foil sticker on the front bubble.

Description: Return of the Jedi was a powerful conclusion to this epic saga of good versus evil. The whole world knows this film by its current title, which evokes the glorious return of the hero. But during filming, the movie was slated to be called Revenge of the Jedi. Merchandise was developed based on this title, including Kenner action figure packaging. Then, late in production, there was a dramatic change. Shortly before the film was released, George Lucas decided the title should be Return of the Jedi. The final title carries a more appropriate emotional tone because, of course, a Jedi would not seek revenge.

To celebrate this monumental film and unique history of its title, we have created special packages of favorite characters from the movie, feature the Revenge of the Jedi title. May the Force be with you!

Comments: The 65D card has the same front as the first Jedi release, the 45C card, which makes it quite different from the other 65-back cards. The most noticeable difference is that the age warning in the top right corner is in English only, rather than in five languages like the 65A,B and C cards. The Return of the Jedi logo also sits lower on the front of the card, so there is no black border beneath this. The back of the card is identical to that of the 65c card, featuring the mail away offer for the Chewbacca Bandolier figure holder.

Like the 65c card, this card can be found with the closing date for the bandolier offer blacked out (the cardback above is one such example).

The only figures seen on this card are from the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back films, the Return of the Jedi series of figures could only be found on 65A, B and C cards.

Description: Tri-Logo Star Wars Return of the Jedi figures can be identified by the 3-language title bar on the front, and “Collect all 70″ in six different languages on the back. The back shows 79 numbered figures with two blacked out. Tri-Logo figures often had larger, thinner bubbles making any mint examples extremely rare and valuable.

Description: The Imperial Shuttle is a Lambda-class shuttle used by the Imperial fleet to transport cargo and passengers. Many government officials prefer them because of their combat-worthy construction and large interior space. The shuttles are outfitted with weapons, which allow them to travel without the need for military escort, thus preventing Rebels from determining whether a shuttle is transporting mere cargo or important officials. Equipped with hyperdrives, Lambda shuttles arecapable of transporting passengers or material between different fleets and star systems.

Comments: Variations exist where Darth Vader and the Royal Guard appear on different sides within the display bubble. Vader sometimes appears on the left, sometimes on the right.

Description: Darth Vader is part of the evil Empire. He is powerful in the ways of the Force but uses his skills to do terrible things. He helps the Emperor control the galaxy. When he meets Luke , he tries to convince Luke to join him and together rule the galaxy, but Luke resists and eventually helps Vader see that the galaxy needs to be saved from the Emperor.

Comments: This is the Canadian version of OTC #10, with a starburst background and generic cardback found on all Canadian OTC figures.

Description: Within the darkest shadows of the galaxy exists the Sith, a sinister order devoted to the dark side of the Force and led by the fearsome Dark Lords of the Sith. Of these dreaded figures, none are more notorious or more dangerous than Darth Maul and Darth Vader. Both masters of the dark side share a legacy of servitude under the most powerful force of evil the galaxy has ever known.
