2003 US Star Wars Saga 03-32 Darth Vader Death Star Clash

Description: As the Galactic Civil War raged across the Empire, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was tasked with discovering the location of the Rebel Alliance’s secret base. Vader captured Rebel operative Princess Leia Organa and had her tortured to reveal the location of the hidden fortress. Vader also sought technical plans stolen by the Rebels. These plans carried the complete schematics of the Empire’s most powerful weapon, the Death Star battle station. When a rescue team successfully liberated the princess, Vader found himself face to face with his former Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Vader defeated the aged Jedi Knight in a lightsaber duel.

Description: This 25th Anniversary Final Duel set, along with the 25th Anniversary Han Solo/Chewbacca, was an exclusive for the 2002 Mexican “Tercera Convencion”, a Star Wars Convention in Mexico City. Limited to only 120 numbered pieces and autographed by David Prowse, this is one of the rarest and most valuable Darth Vader pieces ever.

Comments: This is the Canadian version of the US carded figure. Both the US and Canadian figures had a subset of 12 which had gold highlights on the card and a gold coin rather than a standard silver coin.

1995 Brazilian POTF2 Red Card Darth Vader with Lightsaber and Removable Cape

Description: Expert pilot and hero, Darth Vader was almost killed in a confrontation with Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and was forced to adopt his fearsome body armour. The evil Senator Palpatine made him commander of the Imperial fleet to destroy the Rebel Alliance. Only the Millenium Falcon’s last second interference prevented Vader from detroying Luke Skywalker’s Red-5 X-wing before it could deliver it’s deadly proton torpedo.
Comments: observe the front and rear Estrela stickers for the Brazilian market.
