They’re not simply excess figures from the same batch but have different datestamps on the back. Compare to the same figure with the Boba Fett offer.

Comments: A variant packaging on VC13, originally labelled as Anakin Skywalker. It was felt that at this point in the movie he was more Vader than Skywalker, so the figure was released bearing the Darth Vader name.

Comments: this is the first look we get at Darth Vader in his iconic black armor and helmet.
