Comments: this is the first look we get at Darth Vader in his iconic black armor and helmet.

Comments: The description above is from the US carded version. This Canadian carded version has a generic cardback shared between Revenge of the Sith Deluxe figures of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, General Grievous, Chancellor Palpatine and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Comments: OK, so this text doesn’t actually appear on the Canadian version. It does appear on the US and other versions, but all Canadian deluxe figure cardbacks were generic showing Vader, the Clone Trooper, Yoda and the Vulture Droid.

Comments: Darth Vader confronts Luke Skywalker in a lightsaber duel in the Cloud City of Bespin. Vader wins the battle when he ruthlessly severs Luke’s right hand. Then Vader reveals a devastating secret: that Vader is, in fact, Luke’s own father, and that he plans to turn Luke to the dark side so they can rule the galaxy together.
2005 Australian Revenge of the Sith 11 Darth Vader

Description: Giving up everyone and everything he cares about, Anakin falls to the dark side. Encased in the black armor that will come to strike fear throughout the galaxy, he is no longer Anakin Skywalker – he is now Darth Vader.
Comments: This is the same as the US release, except for the warning sticker as shown in the fourth image. This sticker is on the card, under the plastic. No other market has yet been identified in which this sticker appeared on Darth Vader.
2006 Japanese Revenge of the Sith Hobby Japan Exclusive Darth Vader

Description: The card back is the same as US Target Exclusive version. This version includes a Hobby Japan sticker covering the Target logo on the front, plus a Japanese sticker indicating age appropriateness on the front right. This exclusive was available to those in Japan who collected all 3 coupons from Japanese Star Wars Database Vol.1 to Vol.3, plus ¥2,000 for postage and packaging.
